International entrepreneurial spirit in Dresden.

The third class of founders is complete: in September, the start-ups CarPay-Diem from Luxembourg, Zouzoucar from France and carVertical from Lithuania will move into the Gläserne Manufaktur. It is the first time that fully international companies are moving in.

For six months, in which they can bring their ideas to market maturity, they will have the chance to work in the inspiring atmosphere of the incubator, supported by Volkswagen and the office for the economic development of the city of Dresden.

The three teams convinced the jury with completely different concepts: the French start-up Zouzoucar develops an app that helps to find collaborative solutions for sharing drives between parents, e.g.  to school or to a sports club. CarPay-Diem from Luxemburg aims to facilitate payments at fuel stations and carVertical from Lithuania works on a blockchain-based solution for vehicle history tracking.

As different as these start-ups may seem, they have one thing in common: “All of them impressed the jury with their strict focus on the consumer. Thanks to their solutions, users can enjoy more safety, more comfort and save money“, says Dr. Nils Kristian Hüske, Head of Customer Experience Strategy & Innovation at Volkswagen.
